We are so happy that Cody Bahny of Bill Bahny and Associates in Helena recommended Dan McCormick to perform our house inspection. Once told of our needs by Cody, Dan contacted us immediately to get our information and to tell us about himself and his inspection services. He was thoroughly upfront with us about the fact that he was not completely versed with inspecting the type of house we were purchasing (a straw-bale pueblo) and would contact a colleague of his (who had more experience with this type of structure) to see if he could assist him with the inspection. Even though we could not be at the house the day of the inspection, we felt thoroughly confident that Dan would do the job he promised (and this is saying a lot as my husband is an engineer and understands building standards!). As promised, we received the report the evening of the inspection and we were both overwhelmed by the depth and detail of the report we received. Dan left nothing out! The report was clear and concise; point by point with photos to explain each item that needed to be either repaired or replaced. There was no stone left unturned, nothing left to the imagination, everything covered from top to bottom. Following the time we took reading and re-reading the report and submitting our thoughts and recommendations back to our realtor, we then contacted Dan to further discuss some of the items he pointed out that we needed more information about with regards to the workings of this specific type of structure. Dan graciously spent a large amount of time with us (on the phone) discussing these items as well as other things he inspected. As we are moving to Montana from the East Coast, Dan also spent a bit of time telling us about the area and what to expect. Being recommended to Dan was one of several great recommendations we have received in our quest to move to Montana and, without any reservations, we highly recommend Dan McCormick to you for your house inspection!

I tried to convince my wife that an inspection could be done cheaper than Eagleview Inspections. She wanted Mr. McCormick because he seemed more thorough than other inspectors. There were quite a few items of concern that weren't noted in the seller's disclosure report (they probably weren't even aware of them). I feel any extra money paid was very well worth it.
